Volunteer Opportunities

KIDS MINISTRIES
Many kids come through our doors each week, and it takes many willing volunteers to serve and keep them engaged and safe. Help new families check their kids in for the first time, lead a group, or keep a close eye on our precious children.
HOSPITALITY AND WELCOME
We are passionate about creating an environment where people can experience the extraordinary life of Jesus. Hospitality and Welcome is where the very first impression comes from. This team would help with greeting, information centre, communion, ushering, safety and crucial jobs that make people feel welcome.
SMALL GROUPS
You don't have to be perfect to lead a group. It's about serving others by giving them a place to connect, and leading them in growing together and with God's word.
TECH TEAM
It takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to put together what we do. Here, you will work alongside professionals in video, lighting, IT and sound. Let us know if you have a passion to serve in this way.
WORSHIP
Is music your thing? This is an opportunity to serve in song, music and performing to create an environment that helps introduce people to the real Jesus.
CARE
This ministry is to provide love and support to people who are struggling with life's challenges. At one time or another, we all need the help of others to see our way through a difficult time.
ADMINISTRATION
Another behind-the-scene busy place is the church office. The church office is a beehive of activity. In some ways, nearly all of our ministries rely on office administration to provide support. That means there’s always important ministry to be done in the church office. Are you interested in serving by

SPECIAL EVENTS
This ministry is always one looking for help. We have many outreach ideas, and ministries where we always need extra people to serve.  From VBS to Children's Heart Project, Women's and Men's Ministries, Keswick, and more, we welcome you.

These ministries have a signifcant influence on our congregation and our children. We believe that we should agree on the "basics" of our Christian faith. Below is our FBC Statement of Faith. It is what we believe and teach. If you agree, check the "Agree" checkbox. If you differ in these beliefs and do not wish to sign the agreement, or if at any time you question or disagree with these statements, please contact Pastor Stephen Ryan at sryan@fbc.org.ky to discuss your views.

I believe the Holy Bible is the divinely inspired record of God’s revelation of Himself to people. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its content.

I believe God is the one and only living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfection. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. God reveals Himself to us as a Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being. God is all-powerful, all-loving, and all-wise. He is the Father to those who become children of God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

I believe Jesus Christ is God the eternal Son. In His incarnation, He was born of the virgin Mary and identified himself completely with humankind yet without sin. He died, was raised bodily from the grave by the power of God, and makes available by grace the gift of eternal life to all who come to him through faith.

I believe the Holy Spirit is God the Spirit who exalts Christ, convicts of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement, and effects regeneration as He calls people to the Saviour. He continues a sanctifying work in the believer producing holiness of life and power for service.

I believe Salvation involves the redemption of the whole person and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood, obtained eternal redemption for the believer. Justification is by faith alone. Regeneration is a work of God’s grace whereby the Holy Spirit makes a believer a new creature in Jesus Christ.

I believe the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel, observing the two ordinances of believers' baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. The second coming of Jesus Christ is imminent and is the purifying hope of His church, giving a sense of urgency in preaching the Gospel to all people. God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual; all that we have and are we owe to Him. Christians have a binding stewardship in their possessions. They are called to serve Him with their time, talents, and material possessions, and should recognize all these as entrusted to them to use for the glory of God and for helping others. Every Christian is under obligation to work for the improvement of society and the establishment of righteousness, realizing that all means and methods can be truly and permanently helpful only when they are rooted in the regeneration of the individual by the saving grace of God in Jesus Christ. The Christian should oppose, in the Spirit of Christ, every evil and should work to provide for the orphaned, the needy, the aged, the helpless, and the sick. Every Christian should also seek to bring industry, government, and society as a whole under the influence of Christian principles through our example and witness. In order to promote these ends, Christians should be ready to work with all people of goodwill in any good cause, always being careful to act in a spirit of love without compromising their loyalty to Christ.
